I have been working with images and museum collections since my graduation from Columbia College. My first job out of college was with a stock photography and historical picture agency. After several years of work and encouragement from my coworkers, I embarked on a part-time graduate degree.

Since I had a background in photography and coursework in art history, I chose to attend NIU in the art history department. While attending NIU, I thought it wise to expand my resume by adding additional museum experiences. I participated in a grant-funded project at the Newberry Library followed by positions in the curatorial departments at the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust in Oak Park and Ellwood House Museum in DeKalb, IL. After earning my master’s degree, I worked for the City of West Chicago at the City Museum. In 2007, I returned to the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust as the Assistant Curator.
